Environmental

One of our main areas of development is monitoring environmental conditions and making the data available over the internet, either for our clients or for public usage or both. Amtek IT Solutions can also host public and private client data and images captured from our existing installations.

We can supply equipment that can send notifications via email, SMS or telephone when river conditions reach a critical level- useful for additional flood management or where river level dictates river activities, for example canoeing. With email notifications, a snapshot generated at the time of trigger is attached thereby allowing the recipient to immediately assess the situation. This equipment is self-contained requiring no external sensors. Many of our solutions can also be directly accessed over the internet for live viewing.

New developments include the installation of equipment to monitor potentially dangerous areas from a distance and fully submerged IP camera solutions for monitoring water clarity and fish stocks. All of our installs are bespoke and tailored to the individual budget, location and requirements for data recording and retrieval.

Power and connectivity can be issues at some locations but we have solutions that will allow monitoring at the remotest of sites. Using solar power and batteries together with 3G, a completely self-contaned solution can be quickly installed and it's design gives the system a portability that makes it relatively easy to relocate at a later date should the need arise.

Version 1 of our Virtual Gauge solution- useful where physically installing a gauge is potentially difficult or dangerous. A gauge can either be superimposed or river height data can be displayed on image via a sensor, providing highly accurate results. Triggers can be setup to warn should the river rise above a certain level.
